Ethic members beaten up by security officers at Koroga Festival, promise to sue event and company

Ethic Entertainment are currently breathing fire following their ugly showdown with security officers at Koroga Festival on Saturday 6.

SWAT, Rekless, Zilla and Seska are planning to sue security company K9 after they allegedly attacked Zilla, their hypeman, driver and DJ during the event.

The four had to be taken to hospital after the confrontation which….we are not yet sure how it all started but, looks like one of the artists approached a security members to settle an issue before hell escalated.

Tell me more…

A video showing part of the altercation has being doing rounds on social media but doesn’t clearly show the roughing up of the four.

“The treatment we got from them was more than hostile,” said Ethic on social media on Sunday.

“As we speak four of our members including our Dj, hypeman , Zilla and our driver are all in hospital, brutally injured by Guards from the K9 security company and other festival organizers. We want to state that we will be seeking legal redress as we need due compensation from Koroga and K9 security group for our medical bills.”

Ethic haven’t been really lucky with securities officers….or, just with older guys per se.

A few weeks ago, SWAT, while trying to run away from cops in his Umoja hood, ended up earning a thorough beating. Yes. He ran away from cops and entered an apartment and residents thought he was among the thugs who have been terrorizing them for a long time. The young kid was almost killed in the process.

No way…

This time around however, Ethic believe they were disrespected majorly because they were among the headliners of the popular event. They should have been treated like superstars…like how it happens in other countries.

“As we push Kenyan music to the world we hope that one day, Kenyan artists will one day be treated the same as artists from other countries,” posted the group.

A member of the Ethic team after the altercation.

“The Saturday event this time surpassed all expectations and is definitely going to surpass their Sunday one. You know why? Because we Kenyan artists have worked our asses off to finally get Kenyans to support their own. And this is an agenda we’re willing to push to the very end. To all our loyal fans we’re simply asking that you support our cause. #Justiceforethic#RespectKenyanartists.
