It has now emerged that radio presenter Adele Onyango didn’t actually resign from Kiss 100 FM for greener pastures as she claimed, but rather because she was caught between a rock and a hard place.
Word has it that the presenter was technically fired by the CEO of Radio Africa Group Patrick Quarcoo.
Ummm…it’s not yet clear why Onyango, one of the best radio hosts in Kenya, was arm-twisted into resigning after seven years at the station.
QMG, however, believes her super busy schedule outside Kiss FM might have been one of the key catalysts.
Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe who have been hosting Breakfast Show on NRG, are replacing Onyango and Shaffie Weru. They are expected to start next week Monday.
Speaking of Shaffie Weru, Quarcoo swung his sword but stopped it right on his neck…hypothetically speaking.
The CEO didn’t fire the veteran host….but, ordered him to return to the Evening Drive Show. Or leave Kiss 100.
It’s not yet clear where Onyango is headed yet but she’s expected to drop a few hints in her podcast “Legally Clueless”. Weru is currently on vacation in the US probably clearing his head before coming back to his new assignment.
